New Overseas Players in Delhi Daredevils in IPL 10
Question in detailDelhi Daredevils' final squad in IPL 10: The players' auction for IPL 2017 is over, and all the 8 franchises have finished finalizing their squads. Delhi Daredevils ended the fray buying 9 players in total. Four of them are foreign players and the rest five are Indians. The new overseas players in Delhi team are: Kagiso Rabada, Corey Anderson, Patrick Cummins and Angelo Mathews. Rabada emerged as Delhi's most expensive buy as he received a whooping of 5 Crore. Apart from Rabada, Delhi Daredevils also bagged three more big players: Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews, New Zealand's all-rounder Corey Anderson and Australian pacer Pat Cummins.
Pat Cummins was sold at INR 4.5 Crore and Mathews was paid Rs 2 Crore for his service to Delhi. Corry Anderson, another new overseas player in Delhi squad received Rs 1 Crore. With these four additions, Delhi tried to strengthen their fast bowling attack. However, the presence of two all-rounders will also add depth to Delhi's batting.
Now let's have a look at new Indian players in Delhi team. Not as expensive as the foreign players go, Murugan Ashwin, Ankeet Bawane, Shashank Singh, Aditya Tare and Navdeep Saini are the Indian names to join Delhi Daredevils' final squad in IPL 10. Barring Murugan Ashwin, no other Indian player fetched a whooping or INR 1 Crore. Aditya Tare was sold at 25 lakhs, and the rest three received Rs 10 lakh each respectively.
